Our Values: Forgiveness, Friendship, Hope, and Trust
“Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (Corinthians 13:7)
Be the Best we can be, guided by God’s love.
encouraging everyone to achieve their God-given potential,
develop their talents, celebrate their uniqueness,
and rejoice in the joy of belonging to God’s family.
At Norland, our Christian values of Forgiveness, Friendship, Hope, and Trust are at the heart of everything we do. They guide how we learn, play, and grow together, helping every child to develop kindness, resilience, and a strong sense of community. We bring these values to life through everyday actions—celebrating achievements, resolving conflicts respectfully, supporting one another, and encouraging perseverance even when challenges arise.
These values are closely connected to our school vision, inspired by the story of the Prodigal Son: to love, protect, trust, hope, and persevere in all that we do. They shape a school culture where children can flourish, discover their talents, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
To celebrate and embed our values, each week our House Captains select a Values Winner, recognising pupils who exemplify Forgiveness, Friendship, Hope, and Trust in their words and actions. This regular celebration helps children understand that living our values makes a real difference to our school community and is what makes Norland truly special.
